Before We Were Big

Remember when you were a child and so much in the world was amazing, you know, before we were big? I do, and I’m still chasing rainbows to this day for “wow” moments. I collect them. Granted, I was out looking for magic at the Carrizo Plain on this day, but I nearly missed this beautiful rainbow. It was off to the distance and I only noticed it in my passenger side rear view mirror. Soon as I did, I pulled over and got my camera gear out to see if I could capture what I was seeing. It didn’t last long, but I stood there in childlike awe until it was gone.
