On March 28, 2017 I was invited to Sunset Sound studios in Hollywood during one of the sessions for Joe's new record, "What Happens Next," while Glenn Hughes and Joe were working on some overdubs. The record also also features Chad Smith of the Red Hot Chili Peppers & Chickenfoot on drums, but unfortunately, I wasn't there during the drum tracking so I missed Chad. It was a privilege to be a fly on the wall for a few hours with Glenn, Joe and producer/engineer Mike Fraser, and the guys were kind enough to let me take a few pictures. Joe asked me to sit on these pictures until the record was released and given that it's out today, I'm happy to share a few from that afternoon. As for "What Happens Next" I'm listening to it now, and to my jaded ears, it's outstanding.
